Charter flights for students wishing to return to Greece

Students returning to Greece for labs and other practical tuition will, like all other arrivals, undergo Covid-19 test and will then be taken to designated hotels pending the results, the Education Ministry has clarified.

If they test positive they must remain in quarantine for 14 days. If negative they must self-isolate at home, under monitoring, until the 14 days are over.

The cost of the hotel is covered by Greece.

The clarification followed another announcement by the Education Ministry asking students who wish to return because they must attend labs and classes which require their physical presence in Greece to express an interest on the online platform on the Education Ministry’s website set up for this reason.

Based on the interest expressed, the government will schedule charter flights. The cost will be paid by the students.

The online platform will operate from May 5 to 12 (2 pm).

Students who may need to communicate on a technical issue should send an email to [email protected]
