Following the Yiolou road collapse saga in January, reports have reached philenews that another road has cracked in Paphos, this time near Trachypedoula village.
The new incident happened between Kelokedara and Trachypedoula in the “Kangas” area.
The photo circulated by the news site shows serious damage that extends across the road’s surface.
The community leader of Trachypedoula, Constantinos Fereos said that the crack is approximately 1 m deep and 10 cm wide.
“Half the crack was covered temporarily with soil, but the Paphos District Administration needs to repair the road imminently as it is used daily both by locals as well as cyclists,” Fereos said.
Some cyclists are reportedly also training there for the annual “Evagoreia” cycling race that will take place on March 15 in Trachypedoula in honour of national hero Evagoras Pallikarides.
