Shortly after the opening of her exhibition “Genesis,” Cypriot artist Andrea Charalambidou reveals her favourite spots for food, coffee and drinks.

-Where do you usually enjoy your morning coffee?

-I have my morning coffee in my studio with the company of my works and I take inspiration for the next ones.

-Which is your favorite city yard?

-My mum’s. Green with a great view.

-Favorite shop in your neighborhood?

-Arabica cafe in Strovolos. I enjoy relaxing there with a chai latte and my friends.

-Could you reveal a well-hidden city gem?

-Manolito pizza and pasta, where you can find perfect pizza with sesame dough.

-Where do you draw inspiration from?

-The whole of nature inspires me, from the sky to the land.

-A restaurant that holds a special place in your heart? A recommended dish?

-I love India India, where I always pick the chicken jalfrezi extra hot.

-Which is your favorite kind of cuisine and where you can enjoy it in Cyprus?

-Asian! Akakiko is by far the best for Asian dishes.

-The best place to hang out with friends?

-Babylon pub! I’ve been going there since I was 18!

-Where can you find the best cocktails?

-Finbarrs pub, limoncello raspberry by Stratis.

-Where do you usually find delightful sweets? 

-Colours cafe at Four Seasons! Impeccable creme brûlée.

-Which place do you remember fondly?

-Protaras! I used to go there with my family when I was growing up and now I’ve create new memories with my own family.

-What are you doing professionally this period?

-I am preparing a solo exhibition, which will be hosted by Apocalypse gallery, from May 3 to May 18, 2019.
