“Adopt a family for Christmas” campaign

The Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) on Monday launched its fifth annual ‘Adopt a Family for Christmas’ campaign, inviting individuals, companies, schools and organisations to sponsor a household with goods for the Christmas table.

During last year’s campaign, more than 1,000 families were adopted by individuals, families, groups, companies and organisations, a PVCC announcement said.

“This Christmas, let’s not forget our fellow humans that are in need of our help,” the announcement said. “Let us not consume unnecessary material goods and let us adopt a family.”

People are urged to donate food, presents and “anything relevant and as much as you can!”

Donations will be accepted until December 18 at collection points at PVCC offices in all districts.
