Around 400 people are currently in quarantine at Cyprus hotels that have been made available for this purpose, the CNA reports.
There are a total of 17 hotels across Cyprus providing services to the state for quarantine services, according to insider information.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,200 people were quarantined in hotels, gradually reduced to 400 today.
Strict protocols are adhered to in all hotels involved, and procedures are monitored by police as well as the National Guard.
According to reports, hotel residents adhere to instructions provided, despite some isolated incidents of disobedience at the initial stages of quarantine.
Residents must remain in their rooms 24/7 and their meals are placed outside their door.
Medical service staff are also on the premises as a precaution.
