The warm air current has subsided and Cyprus is now recording temperatures that are close to the seasonal average. Today will see 35 inland and under 30s in coastal regions, with a further drop tomorrow and Friday.
Winds will westerly to northwesterly today and locally southwesterly, initially light to moderate, force three to four and in certain areas, strong force to five later turning moderate to strong and very strong force five to six in the afternoon.
Seas will slight and moderate in western and northern areas, with moderate in windward regions.
Temperatures will rise to 35 degrees Celsius inland, the eastern and southeastern coastal regions, 29 in the rest of the coastal areas and 26 over the mountains.
Dust will persist in the atmosphere.

A further drop in temperatures is expected tomorrow and Friday, around the seasonal average and stabilising along the same level, right through to the weekend.
