150 bales of hay destroyed by fire in Liopetri

The fire services are investigating a fire which destroyed 150 bales of hay at a sheep farm in Liopetri.

The fire was spotted by Liopetri residents around 10 pm on Monday night, who rushed to help the fire services, managing to save a number of bales before the fire spread.

A total of 150 bales of hay with an estimated value of €2500 were destroyed.

First indications are that the fire was a result of foul play. The owner said he did not suspect anyone.
