Two women were robbed at gunpoint in their Paphos apartment on Monday evening, according to police.
Around 9 pm, two men speaking English rang the doorbell of the women’s apartment. When the women opened the door, the men threatened them with a pistol and stole a bag containing €5,250.
Police said the men searched the apartment before fleeing with the money. The women reported that the perpetrators fired two shots into the air as they left the scene.
Police are investigating the incident and have recovered two pistol cartridges from the area.
