Relevant News

The problems and delays in the implementation of various projects that are underway or under consideration in the province of Paphos will be reviewed today by the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works along with provincial authorities.

Alexis Vafeades will be in Paphos at a time when the atmosphere of dissatisfaction over the progress of vital projects in the province is intensifying, such as the first phase of the new Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road, the road to Paphos airport, the province’s marina, and others.

These issues will be addressed in a meeting that the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works will have with the Paphos Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s offices.

Vafeades is also expected to tour the areas where the new public transport stations of Paphos have recently been completed, in Karavella and in the tourist area, following complaints that there were problems with the progress of the projects and they are not as functional as expected.

A few days ago, Paphos MP Chrysanthos Savvides met with Vafeades at the Ministry, who announced the arrival of the responsible Minister in Paphos today, emphasizing that Vafeades understands the negative impact already being felt within the authorities and the society of Paphos from the setbacks in vital projects of Paphos.
