A 51-year-old man was sentenced to 24 months in prison yesterday by the Famagusta District Court for illegally entering Cyprus and aiding unauthorised entry of third-country nationals.
The man’s arrest occurred on April 2nd, 2024, following witness testimonies identifying him as the navigator of a vessel carrying 25 migrants that arrived on Cypriot shores that same day.
